THE WHAT?

200 Artisan, hand wound, extra virgin… Not really! 200 cotton buds on a compostable bamboo stick that will break down in home composting over time or in commercial composting facilities.

The Box: Compostable or recyclable cardboard box, no plastic windows or coatings, just a box really.

THE WHY?

Seahorse Friendly Cotton Buds: Part of the inspiration for these bamboo cotton buds was Justin Hofman’s now iconic pictures of a seahorse forlornly carrying a plastic cotton bud in the sea. We originally set out to find something better to use at home, but became frustrated by the poor quality (bendy) paper sticks or other alternatives coming in a plastic tub (yes seriously).

So we came up with these vegan friendly, 100% compostable cotton buds (or q-tip for the Americans) in a cardboard box, which is free from coatings that prevent it from being recycled or breaking down.

We strongly recommend NOT flushing any cotton bud down the toilet, but if accidents happen and they do end up in rivers or the sea, they will eventually break down.
