URGENTLY WRITE TO YOUR MP TO SAVE UK RIVERS & SEA

1000 hours of raw sewage were dumped from my local sewage works in 2020, 700 hours of raw human waste were discharged in January 2021 alone (that is 23 continuous days). The government’s amendment to the environment bill to prevent this is according to legal and NGO analysis completely unfit for purpose and could make the situation worse!

How much does it cost to fix the sewage scandal?

Last week we wrote about the huge cost figure that had been attached to improving the UK’s sewage network to prevent raw sewage, complete with plastic, being dumped in our river’s and the sea. This week, we have discovered that this figure does not appear anywhere in the government’s own “Storm Taskforce” report, which was created in conjunction with OFWAT, Water Companies and the Environment Agency.

£660 Billion to Fix Sewers? Really?

My MP responded to my impassioned call to vote for the Lords amendment that would end raw sewage dumping (filled with microplastics) in UK rivers and the sea by voting against it.

Toothpaste Tablets With Fluoride

Obviously with tooth brushing being something that we do twice a day or more, we wanted a convenient solution that was at least as good as regular toothpaste and that meant finding a plastic free toothpaste with fluoride.
