Non Plastic Beach Teams up with Coral Eyewear
At Non Plastic Beach we like to celebrate the achievements of others and are happy to shine a light on businesses or individuals doing things we admire. So, we were excited when we came across Coral Eyewear, who create glasses and sunglasses from a recycled material called ECONYL.
ECONYL production starts with rescuing waste found at sea and in landfills, sorting and cleaning the plastic to recover the nylon. Coral can then produce durable, sustainable and above all else, stylish glasses or sunglasses that they can even recycle at the end of their life.
Coral Eyewear was started last year by father and son team Calvin and George Bailey, who decided to work together after the younger Bailey had hit upon a business idea, born out of a University project. Fortunately, this idea combined the sustainable business expertise of George, with his father Calvin’s multi-decade experience in the optician and eyewear business.
Such was the strength of George’s idea that TV presenter and entrepreneur, Jake Humphrey has invested in the company and his friends, such as TV presenter and style icon, Holly Willoughby have been seen wearing Coral Eyewear sunglasses.
So, to celebrate our mutually held goals of reducing plastic waste and keeping it out of the ocean, we are offering Non Plastic Beach customers 15% off Coral Eyewear sunglasses via this special link.
